Magic and mystery in Scotland
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Charging of two mountains in Scotland in Operation Starlight, we are reprinting an article by Keith Hope-Robertson, who was one of the team, about the trials and tribulations of those two memorable events.
Amazingly, these outstanding metaphysical operations, which required Dr. George King to go into a deep meditative state in order to act as a channel for power manipulated by great extraterrestrial Intelligences were performed in the depths of a cruel Highland winter.

New Temple opens in Michigan
After years of planning and hard work a new Aetherius Society Temple finally opened in Michigan on September 14th.
The fact that this project reached such a tremendously successful conclusion is a real tribute to the dedication of Staff and Members there - and to judge from the photographs the new Temple is a really beautiful building.

Guardian Angels “shocker”
Talking of guardian angels (see the review of the book by Richard Lawrence and Mark Bennett below), a new study done at Baylor University’s Institute for Studies in Religion, says that fifty-five percent of Americans agree with the statement "I was protected from harm by a guardian angel."
Though the study contains much larger figures than this (92% believe in God, 67% are “absolutely sure” that heaven exists and 73% believe in hell), the guardian angels encounter figure, which is one of personal experience, rather than mere belief, was the “big shocker”, according to Christopher Bader, the director of the Baylor study.(more…)
UFO fleet “tracked” on radar
Thirty-five mysterious, super-fast flying craft were tracked on RAF radar and witnessed by over 30 military and civilian personnel, the UK national newspaper The Sun reported on September 13th. Six military radars, plus operators at London’s Heathrow airport spotted the vessels in 1971 as they flew east of Salisbury Plain, craft appearing and disappearing as they did so. The operators filed reports, and three days later were visited by officials from the Ministry of Defence who instructed the RAF “never to speak of the incident again.” (more…)

300 people in Twelve Blessings service at Avebury
We are grateful to Teresa Kemp for sending this account of a Twelve Blessings service at the ancient neolithic site of Avebury in Southern England – a place af great metaphysical significance still:
I met my friend Wanda at a UFO conference many years ago. She told me that there was going to be a big gathering on 8.8.08 at 8pm at Avebury. The intention of the meeting was to send out positive energy. There were just over 300 people who turned out. They made a great big circle – it was advised they should do that.
Wanda had a copy of the Twelve Blessings and the New Lord’s Prayer which I had sent her. As soon as she received the Twelve Blessings, she said, she felt an electrifying energy. I had explained to her how to read out the Blessings, slowly and with the right intonation, and to show everyone how to pray with their palms held up. (More…)
Aid and relief in Bihar
Monsoon rains at the end of August were so torrential that they altered the course of a major river, bringing catastrophic consequences. Devastating floods hit the Indian state of Bihar, making hundreds of thousands of people homeless, killing many, inundating a major highway under ten feet of water and raising the desperate possibility of cholera and other infectious diseases being spread by the waters. The Indian Prime Minister pronounced it a “national calamity”.
To help in this major disaster, on August 30th and 31st The Aetherius Society sent out 12,000 hours of vibrant, healing, spiritual power through the London Spiritual Energy Radiator, targeted at 'aid and relief from flooding' in Bihar.
Energy to South Ossetia
The Aetherius Society acted swiftly in the recent conflict between Russia and Georgia, sending out 45,000 hours of energy in just six days.
On August 8th war erupted between Russia and Georgia over the small, independently governed enclave of South Ossetia. The politically complex dispute lying behind this sudden eruption of hostilities had been rumbling on since the early 1990s… (more…)
Alien Worlds Magazine
There’s an excellent article on The Aetherius Society in the latest edition of Alien Worlds magazine by the magazine’s editor Stuart Miller. Based around a lengthy interview with Aetherius Society International Director Richard Lawrence, the article is unusually factual and unbiased, presenting Richard’s interview more or less verbatim. This open-minded approach makes a refreshing change, especially in a magazine that is “interested in the entire concept of extraterrestrial life and the origins of life here on Earth”.
The article, which runs to eight pages, covers the Society’s origins, beliefs and practices, and a number of relevant and interesting issues.

Dr. George King and the science of invisibility

Science has now begun to discover how to make light bend around an object and so render it invisible, according to two separate papers published online today by the journals Science and Nature . It is an announcement which will be greeted with interest, if not surprise, by students of the writings of the late Dr. George King. An extraterrestrial contactee for over 40 years, in the mid-1950s he described how spacecraft had the ability to divert photons of light around themselves to prevent them being seen. It was an assertion regarded as outlandish at the time; now just 50 years later it looks as though terrestrial science is catching up. (more…)

Sudoku Pendulum Challenge
Having been a Sudoku fan for a number of years I have never been faced with a Sudoku puzzle that I have not been able to solve through the use of logic and deduction – and, occasionally, a little bit of guess work. However this week my mother gave me a Sudoku challenge that she said was impossible to do. She and my stepfather had completed a Sudoku puzzle book and then attempted to do the puzzle on the front of the cover with no success. Faced with this challenge I was determined to give it a go.
Having worked out the possible number combinations for each cell I realised that there were so many permutations that I would have to spend several hours of more guess work with trial and error, rather than logic to work out the puzzle. As this didn’t sound like much fun I decided to save some time and get my pendulum out. (more…)
Carnedd Llewelyn—the magical mountain
On March 23rd, 1970 I was on a train going along the north coast of Wales. It was 1 a.m., and the train was overcrowded and stuffy, with people standing. As we neared the North Wales Massif I decided that I would not go down to the carriage end window to admire the view. It would be cold there, and my seat would get taken. I tried again to doze off. The mountains would keep until next time.
Someone or something had other ideas. A force impinged against my forehead. "Go and look at the mountains". I opened my eyes, frowned, and blinked. A woman was standing there, half transparent but very much present. Medium build, full-length light-coloured robe, brown waved hair, deep suntan. Expression gentle and authoritative. "Go and look at the mountains". I realised I would get no peace if I didn't, so I left my cozy seat and went along to the window. The woman disappeared as I got up, and strangely I forgot about her for several months. (more…)
Spiritual energy to Congo crisis
2nd November: As chaos descended on the Congolese border town of Goma, near its border with Rwanda, The Aetherius Society decided to make some emergency discharges of Spiritual Energy to help alleviate the crisis there.
The two Spiritual Energy Radiators in the UK are running for a total of six hours a day, initially on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd November. That means that tens of thousands of Prayer Hours of energy will be going out in a highly concentrated form to help in this potential disaster. it will be interesting to see what develops.
